ResNet: Setup and Configure Mac OS 10.1 - 4.x

  1. To verify if the Mac OS is version 10.1-4x, select About this Mac from the Apple menu.



  2. Displayed on the screen below should be a similar version.



  3. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.



  4. In the System Preference window, click the Network icon.

  5. Select Built-in Ethernet from the Show drop-down menu.



  6. Select Using DHCP from the Configure drop-down menu.

  7. Verify that both DNS Servers and Search Domains text fields are blank.

  8. Click Apply Now and close the window.

Note 1: AirPort must be disabled at all time when using ResNet connection.

Note 2: During registration, we recommend using Firefox instead of Safari.

If prompted with certificate error message:
  • Click 'Or you can add an exceptions...'
  • Click Add Exceptions ... | Get Certificate | Confirm Security Exceptions
